Files distributed with this package

totpages.ins        This is the installation script that will produce
                    the style file totpages.sty when run through LaTeX
                    or TeX.
totpages.dtx        documented source file of the totpages package.
readme.txt          This file.

All files in the totpages package may be distributed under the terms of
the LaTeX Project Public License.


Prerequisites
=============
To use this package, you'll have to have everyshi.sty and keyval.sty
installed.  They are available from CTAN and may need additional
packages themselves.


Installation
============
 1) Run TeX or LaTeX on totpages.ins.
 2) Put the resulting totpages.sty somewhere where LaTeX will find it.
 3) Make sure everyshi.sty and keyval.sty are available

 For documentation, run LaTeX on totpages.dtx.

 File totexmpl.tex contains an example on how to use packages totpages.

Download the contents of this package in one zip archive (184.8k).

totpages – Count pages in a document, and report last page number

The package counts the actual pages in the document (as opposed to reporting the number of the last page, as does lastpage). The counter itself may be shipped out to the DVI file. The package uses the everyshi package for its task.
