bibmods – Tighter tolerances for bibliographies
LaTeX uses \sloppy in the bibliography in its standard classes. This can lead to unpleasantly wide spacing, as TeX tries to set the page flush at both sides.
The package sets a tighter tolerance, and allows some \emergencystretch, thus leading to better typesetting.
