Elsevier's new document class for typeset journal articles, elsarticle.cls, is now accepted for submitted articles, both in Elsevier's electronic submission system and elsewhere. It replaces the previous document class for typeset articles, elsart.cls, which is now over 10 years old. elsarticle.cls has been developed for Elsevier by the leading TeX developer River Valley Technologies. This version has minor changes as the result of author and editor feedback during 2008.
