Summary description: Update of the mh bundle: breqn, flexisym, mathstyle
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
Changes in flexisym =================== * Fix problem with \std at minus and \std at equal which had to be removed from \AtBeginDocument hook. Also fixed problem with \std at equal which occured when operators had been defined with \DeclareMathOperator. * Support for mathpazo and mathptmx added. * Source code comments by Michael J. Downes added. Changes in breqn ================ * Fixed catcode settings and package loading of flexisym. * Cleaned up some parts of the code. * Source code comments by Michael J. Downes added. Changes in mathstyle =================== * Documentation written (original sources unfortunately lost). * Use \@saveprimitive from breqn. * New command \currentmathstyle + example of usage A special note on the source code comments: The original sources of breqn and related files exist in a non-dtx format devised by Michael Downes. Lars Madsen has kindly written a Perl script for transforming the original source files into near-perfect dtx state, requiring only very little hand tuning. Without his help it would have been nigh impossible to incorporate the original sources with Michael's comments. A big, big thank you to him.

mh – Stub for the (old) ‘mh’ bundle
The mh bundle was a series of packages to enhance the appearance of documents containing a lot of maths; the package were designed to support and extend the LaTeX required amsmath The packages (no longer distributed as a bundle) comprise:
- breqn, which enables automatic line-breaking in displayed equations;
- empheq, which provides various mechanisms for ‘visual markup’ of mathematical matter;
- flexisym, which converts symbol definitions to a form usable within breqn;
- mathstyle, which takes advantage of LaTeX’s suppression of some of TeX’s maths operators, to improve the performance of sub- and superscripts, and other aspects of mathematical typesetting style, including the ever-tricky \mathchoice operator;
- mathtools, providing a range of extensions to maths as a whole; and
- mhsetup, which provides various programming tools for other packages of the set.
