CTAN Update: unisugar

Date: March 1, 2011 8:03:06 AM CET
On Mon, 28 Feb 2011 Yossi Gil submitted an update to the unisugar package. Summary description: Selected Unicode characters employed in some very common LaTeX commands License type: lppl Announcement text:
Using this package, you may find yourself typing a bit less, provided you can configure your text editor or keyboard driver to generate the handful of Unicode characters defined by this package. More importantly, the package is useful in defining macros whose name is composed of right-to-left characters and in minimizing mixed directionality text in right-to-left documents.
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/xetex/latex/unisugar . More information is at http://tug.ctan.org/info/?id=unisugar (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Please join a users group; see http://www.tug.org/usergroups.html .
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Rainer Schöpf

unisugar – Define syntactic sugar for Unicode

The package allows the user to define shorthand aliases for single Unicode characters, and also provides support for such aliases in RTL-text.

The package requires an -alike system that uses Unicode input in a native way: current examples are and Lua.
